Wreck of Einar - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Wreck of Einar isn’t your typical tropical jaunt, and that’s precisely why we love it. This isn't a site for beginners; it’s a proper Scottish wreck dive, often with currents and certainly with cold water. Dropping down, you're immediately hit with the sheer scale of the Einar, a cargo vessel that came to grief in a storm. We find the real magic here in the bow section, which still holds together remarkably well. Swim through the holds, imagine the cargo shifting in the waves that ultimately brought her down. Schools of saithe often hang like curtains around the mast, and we’ve spotted plenty of inquisitive conger eels peeking from beneath twisted metal. Our favourite part has to be the intact rudder; it’s a powerful visual reminder of the ship's last moments. Pack a good torch and keep an eye on your bottom time. This is a dive that rewards careful exploration, not hurried swimming.
