Wreck of Grahams - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The *Grahams* is a dive that really pulls you into the history, a real favourite of ours for a proper Scottish wreck dive. We’re talking about a merchant ship, gone down over a century ago, and it feels like stepping back in time. You descend onto what’s left of a substantial vessel, mostly broken up but with enough structure to keep it interesting. We love tracing the curve of the hull plates, seeing where the metal has twisted and buckled from its final impact. What you’ll find here are the remnants of a working ship, now completely owned by the sea. Expect to see sections of deck, maybe a boiler or a winch, all heavily encrusted with plumose anemones, their white tentacles reaching out like tiny, hungry flowers. Look closely amongst the plates and you’ll often spot velvet crabs scuttling or a squat lobster clinging on. Visibility can swing here, like anywhere in Scotland, so pick a calm day with an incoming tide if you can for the clearest water. It's a dive that rewards slow exploration, peering into every nook and cranny to imagine the ship in its former life. Perfect for those who appreciate wrecks with a story, even if the narrative is now written by the ocean.
