Wreck of Holdsworth Trader - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Holdsworth Trader, slumped on its side off the Scottish coast, is less about coral and more about atmosphere. We love how the steel framework has become a skeleton, draped in kelp that sways with the surge. Drop down and you’ll find the wreck well-broken, but still offering plenty of intriguing corners to poke your head into. Keep an eye out for the resident wrasse darting between the rusty plates and the occasional inquisitive seal. This site is a proper Scottish wreck dive: bracing water, but incredibly rewarding for those who appreciate history and the tough beauty of the North Sea. It’s perfect for divers comfortable with colder temperatures and a bit of current, offering a solid exploration without being overly challenging.
