Wreck of Soar - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving the Soar is like stepping into a time capsule, a powerful old steam trawler, still largely intact despite the years. We love how the bow points resolutely north, a silent sentinel on the seabed. Drop down and the deck house, funnel, and mast all emerge from the gloom, draped in plumose anemones that sway gently in the surge. Look closely for ling and conger eels tucked into the deeper recesses, and the occasional wolfish peering out from under a plate. It’s a dive that rewards patience and a good torch, perfect for those who appreciate history and the quiet drama of a forgotten ship. Be prepared for strong currents and reduced visibility; this is Scottish diving, after all.
