Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 195932 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Down on the Scottish East Coast, the ‘Unnamed Shipwreck’ is a good shout if you’re into a bit of mystery and history. It’s certainly not a tropical reef, but for a UK wreck, it’s got character. We’ve found the remains fairly broken up, but you can still pick out some significant pieces of hull plating and maybe an engine component or two, depending on how much sand has shifted. Look closely amongst the metalwork, and you’ll often spot crabs scuttling around, and small schools of coalfish usually hang about. It’s a dive that suits those who appreciate the quiet solitude of an old wreck and don’t mind a bit of a treasure hunt amongst the seabed.
