SS Kintyre - Scottish West Coast

The SS Kintyre, lying off the Scottish West Coast, offers a solid, satisfying wreck dive. What you'll find here is a reasonably intact vessel, settled on a sandy seabed. It's not a huge wreck, but there’s enough structure to navigate through the holds and engine room, if you're comfortable with that kind of exploration. We've seen a good number of wrasse and blennies making homes in the twisted metal, and the occasional dogfish tucked away. It's a dive that rewards a slow pace, letting you really appreciate the way the sea reclaims these old ships. For us, it’s a classic UK wreck experience, best suited for divers with some cold-water wreck experience under their belt.
