Dive World
Québec, Canada
The team at Dive World are the kind of people you want teaching you to dive in colder water. They’re based in Toronto, not Québec, but they’re still our go-to for anyone looking to properly embrace Canadian diving. What we really rate about Dive World is their comprehensive specialty course offering. Seriously, they’ve got everything from drysuit to sidemount, deep, and even Tec 40. That’s a serious commitment to developing skilled divers. We’d suggest them particularly for divers looking to level up their cold-water game. They’re not just about the certifications, though. They foster a real community, running regular local trips that are perfect for putting those new skills to use. Our favourite is their approach to freediving, with AIDA courses right up to AIDA 4. If you’ve ever wanted to explore the peace of holding your breath, these are the folks to do it with. Their local trips are a great way to meet other divers too, which is always a bonus when you’re exploring new waters. Plus, they offer equipment rental, which means you don’t need to invest in a full cold-water setup before you know if it’s for you.
