    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

Mamitas is a solid Cozumel dive, often picked for its straightforward drift. You’ll find a sandy bottom sloping down to a reef with sponges and some smaller coral formations, home to plenty of grunt and snapper. It’s a good spot for newer divers getting used to Cozumel’s currents, or for an easy second dive of the day. We usually spot a turtle or two cruising along the wall here.

    Safety Notes

Strong currents typical this month (avg 79 cm/s). Good buoyancy control essential.
