With 177+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and nurse sharks - Sabalos offers some of Cozumel's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Sabalos is a drift dive along a sandy bottom, broken up by scattered coral heads. We often find nurse sharks resting under ledges and plenty of green morays peering out from the crevices. It’s a pretty mellow dive, good for newer divers getting used to Cozumel's current, or for those who just want a relaxed swim. The visibility here can be great, but it’s more about the individual encounters than big schools.
