Neptune Memorial Reef - Florida Keys
Diving Neptune Memorial Reef feels a bit like exploring an ancient, sunken city. It’s an artificial reef, really, designed as an underwater mausoleum, which sounds a bit morbid but it’s actually quite serene. We’ve found it’s a pretty easy dive, shallow at just 14 meters, making it ideal for newer divers or those looking for a relaxing second dive. You navigate through columns and arches, often seeing angelfish and snapper flitting around the structures, with the occasional barracuda cruising by. It’s certainly unique, offering something different from a natural coral reef.
