Why dive here
With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, dolphins, hammerhead sharks, seahorses and sea turtles - Pauls Reef offers some of Florida Keys's richest reef diving. Water ranges 19-32°C, warmest July, August, September.
Pauls Reef offers a pretty typical Keys reef dive, shallow and easy-going. You’ll see plenty of brain coral, a few gorgonians, and the usual suspects like parrotfish and grunt. It’s a good spot for newer divers looking to get comfortable with reef navigation, or for a relaxed second dive.
