Princess Anne - Florida Keys

We love the Princess Anne wreck, a dive that feels like a proper Keys adventure. She's a big old freighter, sitting upright in about 75 feet of water, and she's just the right size for a leisurely cruise around. What makes her special for us is how much of her remains intact. You can still make out the superstructure, the cargo holds, and even the mast, which makes navigation simple and exploring engaging. The bow faces west, often into a gentle current, which is usually a good thing for visibility and bringing in the fish. We've seen schools of snapper swarming her decks, their scales glinting, and sometimes a curious goliath grouper will slowly emerge from a shadowy corner, eyeing you with an ancient gaze. Her holds are open, inviting you to peek inside, and the light filtering down creates these beautiful, shifting patterns on the bulkheads. We'd suggest aiming for a calm morning, just as the sun is getting high, to really appreciate the light on the wreck. It's a superb dive for anyone who enjoys a substantial wreck with plenty of character and a comfortable depth.
