The Trench

Why dive here
With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, dolphins, hammerhead sharks, seahorses and sea turtles - The Trench offers some of Florida Keys's richest channel diving. Water ranges 19-32°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Trench in the Florida Keys gives you a chance to explore a deep sand channel, bordered by low coral ridges. It’s a good spot for finding nurse sharks tucked under ledges or rays gliding across the bottom. We’d suggest this for divers who appreciate a quiet drift over looking for big schools of fish. Visibility usually holds up well here.
