Why dive here
Moku Hooniki is a dive where divers can encounter blue sharks, sea turtles and sperm whales. Water ranges 25-28°C, warmest August, September, October.
Moku Hooniki is an outer island site known for open ocean encounters. We’ve seen hammerheads cruise by in the blue, and manta rays feed near the pinnacle. It’s a drift dive, best suited for advanced divers comfortable with variable currents and deeper profiles. Expect the unexpected out here.
