Umm El Ros/Marsa Mubarak - Deep South

Umm El Ros, often paired with Marsa Mubarak, is a real gentle introduction to diving in the Deep South. At a maximum depth of 18m, it’s a perfect spot for beginners to find their fins or for anyone wanting a relaxed afternoon dive. You’ll usually find yourself drifting along a sandy bottom, keeping an eye out for green turtles grazing on the seagrass – we’ve had some cracking encounters there. Occasionally, a dugong might even make a surprise appearance. It’s not about dramatic walls or massive pelagics, but rather a calm, easy dive where you can really slow down and appreciate the smaller stuff.
