El Fanadir Dacht Dacht - Hurghada

El Fanadir Dacht Dacht, even with its tongue-twister name, is one of our go-to Hurghada spots for a leisurely drift. It’s a long, narrow reef, almost a wall in places, running parallel to the shore. We like to drop in at the northern end and let the gentle current do the work. The reef face itself has plenty of overhangs and small caves to peek into. You’ll often spot Blackline Fangblennies darting in and out, or a curious Brown-spotted Grouper eyeing you from the shadows. Down on the sandy bottom, keep an eye out for Variable Strombs plowing their way along, leaving little trails. The corals here aren't the biggest, but they're healthy, and the shallower parts get some lovely light. We've had great luck finding Sebae Anemones with their resident clownfish putting on a show. For photographers, the schooling Blackstriped Cardinalfish can be stunning when the light hits them just right. This site is fantastic for newer divers or those who just want a relaxed dive with plenty to see without battling any strong currents. It’s also a solid second dive after something deeper, offering a completely different vibe.
