Gota Abu Galaua - Hurghada

Gota Abu Galaua, or as we often call it, "The Garden," delivers on its name. This site offers a gentle drift along a sloping reef, making it a super relaxing dive, especially if you’ve had a few choppier days out on the boat. We love how the reef here just unfolds, revealing patches of common mushroom coral that look like stepping stones for the smaller critters. Keep your eyes peeled for blennies – the crested sabretooth and mimic blennies are particularly entertaining, often popping out of their holes, doing their little dances. It's an excellent spot for photographers too, because the current is usually mild enough for you to really frame a shot. We've spent ages here watching cowfish glide by and trying to spot the elusive bluestripe pipefish amongst the coral branches. For those who appreciate the smaller, more intricate details of the Red Sea, this site is a real treat. It’s perfect for a second dive of the day, a mellow exploration where you can really slow down and observe.
