Shaab Umm Gamar stands out near Hurghada for its reliable dolphin encounters. We’ve had some truly playful dives here, often spotting Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins cruising by or even stopping to check us out. Beyond the main event, keep an eye on the smaller stuff: we usually find several blenny species, like the Crested Sabretooth, tucked into crevices, alongside schools of Grey Sweetlips. The reef itself offers a good wall dive, suitable for divers comfortable with some depth and potential mild currents.
