Why dive here
Soug Bahar is a reef dive where divers can encounter humpback whales, spinner dolphins and whale sharks. Water ranges 22-30°C, warmest July, August, September.
Soug Bahar, while not as widely known as some of Safaga’s other sites, offers a quieter dive. We’ve had encounters with both bottlenose and long-beaked dolphins here, particularly in the mornings. It’s a good spot for divers who prefer a less crowded experience and are keen on pelagic sightings rather than solely reef exploration. The site provides a decent drift over sandy patches and smaller coral heads.
