LARA - Sharm el-Sheikh

The LARA wreck, formerly the Krone Trader, offers a very different kind of dive on the edge of Jackson Reef. It’s not one of those intact ships you can fin through, rather a scattered wreck site from a vessel that ran aground and broke up years ago. What you find now are large sections of hull and machinery spread across the reef, creating a series of artificial reefs. These metal pieces are now completely encrusted with corals, attracting clouds of fusiliers and snapper, plus the occasional moray eel peeking from a crevice. It's a great spot for an easy drift dive, letting the current carry you over the various sections.
