Ras Katy - Sharm el-Sheikh

Ras Katy sits just south of Na’ama Bay and it’s a good little spot. You’ll usually find calm conditions here, making it a popular choice for check dives or when other sites are too sporty. The main feature is a sloping reef that starts shallow and gradually drops, leading to sandy patches at around 18-20 metres. Keep an eye out for the yellowtail sweepers schooling under the overhangs and the occasional cowfish trundling along the bottom. We’ve had a few lucky sightings of dolphins in the deeper sections too. It’s a comfortable dive, not dramatic, but consistently pleasant.
