17Sixty - Jeddah
The team at 17Sixty feels like your local dive shop, just dropped into Jeddah. We love that personal touch, a real family vibe amongst the instructors and boat crew. They’re PADI 5 Star, so you’ll find all the usual courses, but it’s their day trips and multi-day liveaboard trips we really rate. They get you out to some cracking reefs north and south of Jeddah, places like the Boiler Wreck where you can still feel the metal groan a little in a surge, or the vibrant walls of Abu Tair. We’d suggest asking them about their trips further afield to places like the Seven Sisters. The visibility out there can be ridiculous, sometimes pushing 40 metres. You’ll be floating over reefs studded with gorgonian fans that sway in the current like wheat fields, with reef sharks often cruising by in the distance. They run comfortable, well-organised boats, and the lunch spread on board is always a winner after a couple of dives. For reliable, friendly diving in the Red Sea without the crowds of some other regions, 17Sixty is our go-to in Jeddah.
