NAVD (POSSIBLY) - Jeddah

The NAVD (Possibly) wreck is a bit of an enigma off Jeddah, and that’s precisely why we love it. This motor vessel, stretching over 100 metres, is a proper hulking beast lying in a shallow 12-metre resting place. We’ve found the sheer scale of it at this depth to be remarkable. You can spend a good hour just finning around its perimeter, taking in the corroded steel plates and the way the light filters through what were once vast cargo holds. It’s a fantastic site for newer wreck divers or those who just want a relaxed dive with plenty to see without worrying about depth or deco. Our favourite part is the way the resident fish life has completely claimed the structure. You'll often see schools of yellowfin goatfish schooling over the deck, and we've frequently spotted robust lionfish tucked into shadowy nooks. The bow section, with its enormous anchor chain draped across the seabed, feels particularly dramatic. We’d suggest going early in the morning; the ambient light really brings out the wreck's skeletal beauty.
