North Long Reef - Jeddah

North Long Reef is a solid shore dive out of Jeddah, reliable for an afternoon's exploration. We usually find ourselves dropping in to a gentle slope, often bumping into small groups of scarlet wrasse or the occasional coral hind darting into the staghorn coral. It’s a good spot for seeing some of the smaller residents, like banded cleaner shrimp working on rock cod, or the bright flash of an orange-lined triggerfish. While it might not blow your fins off, it’s a perfectly pleasant dive, easy enough for newer divers and relaxed enough for seasoned folks looking for an uncomplicated dip.
