Rose Reef - Jeddah

Rose Reef in Jeddah might sound generic, but for us, it’s a real standout. We love it for its sheer density of fish, particularly the way the smaller residents just blanket the reef. Drop in, and you’re immediately enveloped by the energetic dance of Red Sea Half-and-half Chromis, a shimmering curtain that truly defines the dive here. It’s hard to focus on just one thing when dozens of Crown Butterflyfish and Dusky Angelfish are darting through the Staghorn coral. Our favourite moments are often spent just drifting along the reef edge, watching the larger Argus and Edgeblack Groupers patrol their territories, while Six-line wrasse meticulously pick over the coral. You’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for the vibrant Scarlet Wrasse, their colours really pop against the blues. This site is brilliant for divers who appreciate the bustling, living tapestry of a coral reef and don't necessarily need huge pelagics to be impressed. For the best experience, we’d suggest an early morning dive before any boat traffic picks up; the light hitting the corals is just beautiful then.
