SHAHRAZAD - Jeddah

The Shahrazad, a roll-on roll-off vessel, met its end in 1985 after a fire in Jeddah Port. It was towed out and sank on a reef, which is usually a good recipe for a dive site. This wreck sits upright in around 15 metres, so it’s pretty accessible. You’ll find its superstructure still largely intact, making for some interesting swim-throughs if you're comfortable with overhead environments. Schools of snapper often hold tight to the shelter of the decks, and we’ve seen some decent-sized groupers lurking in the shadows. It’s a solid wreck dive, perfect for those looking to explore an older vessel colonised by plenty of reef fish, without the need for deep diving.
