VERAS - Jeddah

The VERAS wreck, grounded since 1979 on its passage from Piraeus to Vietnam, offers a relaxed dive in Jeddah’s Red Sea. We found the motor vessel sitting shallow, with parts of its hull and superstructure still visible just beneath the surface, making it an easy pick for newer divers or those looking for a long, leisurely explore. Though shallow, the wreck itself has become a home to all sorts of critters; expect to spot parrotfish grazing on the settled corals and schools of fusiliers darting through the rusted metal framework. It's a peaceful spot, ideal for photography or just soaking in the history.
