HANAN - Dubai & Abu Dhabi
Hanan, a barge sunk in 1985 due to rough weather on its way to Das Island, now rests at 19 metres. The wreck itself, a 40.5-meter long and 10.1-meter wide vessel, offers a straightforward, enjoyable dive. You'll find it fairly broken up in parts, but the general shape is still clear enough to navigate, making it a good spot for those getting comfortable with wreck diving. Over the years, it’s become home to various small reef fish and the occasional snapper, with sea turtles sometimes seen cruising nearby. It’s not the most dramatic wreck in the region, but it’s a solid dive for an afternoon.
