JARAMAC 33 - Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The Jaramac 33 is a deep dive, no two ways about it. Dropping to 56 metres, this tug lies upright and mostly intact, a real time capsule from its sinking back in '81. We love how the strong currents, which can be a real factor here, have kept the superstructure clean, making the pilothouse and engine room surprisingly accessible for those with the right training and gas. What you'll find is a wreck draped in colourful soft corals, often swaying with the surge. Schools of barracuda cruise by, and we’ve spotted giant moray eels peeking from every crevice. Our favourite detail has to be the intact steering wheel, still there after all these decades – it really gives you a sense of the vessel’s last moments. This isn't a dive for beginners, but for technical divers looking for a genuine wreck experience in the UAE, the Jaramac 33 delivers a proper adventure. Go early in the morning for the best shot at calmer conditions.
