KNIDOS - Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The Knidos is a proper deep dive, a freighter sitting upright at 40 metres, making it one for experienced wreck divers. You’ll definitely want good bottom time planning here. What we love about the Knidos is its sheer scale and the way the light filters down through the superstructure. It’s a bit of a ghostly experience, but in the best possible way. Descending, you first hit the bow, which is often swathed in a school of fusiliers, darting around the mast. The bridge is largely intact, offering some fascinating swim-throughs if you're comfortable with overhead environments and good on your buoyancy. We always find ourselves drawn to the cargo holds, now home to clouds of glassfish and the occasional grumpy-looking grouper. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs on the deck plating, especially around the deeper sections. Currents can pick up, particularly on an outgoing tide, so we’d suggest timing your dive for slack water to truly appreciate the wreck's quiet majesty. It’s a site that rewards careful exploration, rather than just a quick look.
