MULTICAT M1 - Dubai & Abu Dhabi
The Multicat M1 isn't going to blow your mind with depth, sitting flat at just 8 meters, but for a quick, accessible wreck dive off Dubai, it’s surprisingly good. This work boat, a squat 10-meter vessel, is a fantastic spot for newer divers looking to get their first taste of a proper wreck, or for seasoned photographers keen on macro subjects without the pressure of strong currents or deep deco. We love how the M1 has settled, becoming a miniature apartment block for all sorts of critters. You’ll spend your time exploring the deck, peeking into the engine room, and getting right up close to the bow and stern. Look for the resident Arabian angelfish flitting between the superstructure, and we’ve often found schools of juvenile barracuda shimmering just off the deck. Our favourite moments here are always spent spotting tiny nudibranchs camouflaged on the hull, or watching parrotfish grazing on the soft growth that's started to colonise the metal. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for fin-kicking slowly and soaking it all in.
