RAHIM 3 - Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The Rahim 3 is a seriously good wreck dive, sitting upright at 34 metres. We love how intact she is, a proper historical steel hulk, 101 metres long, lost in 1989 on a passage from Doha to Bombay. You can still make out the superstructure, the railings, and even some of the holds. Dropping down, it’s a sombre sight, but also one of transformation. Schools of yellowfin trevally often swirl around the bridge, and we’ve seen barracuda hanging motionless in the slight current off the bow. The cargo holds are open, inviting exploration for those with the right training, and inside, we usually find nurse sharks resting on the bottom. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs on the deck plating, especially around the older growth of soft corals. This isn't a drift, but the currents can pick up, so time your dive for slack water if you want to penetrate or spend time spotting macro life. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of depth, easily our favourite wreck in the area.
