SHARGI - Dubai & Abu Dhabi

The Shargi wreck, a drill vessel that now lies in just 10 metres of water, offers a straightforward dive that’s popular with newer divers and those looking for a relaxed afternoon out. It’s a shallow site, which means plenty of ambient light on good days, illuminating the structure. We’ve found schools of yellowfin snapper often hang around the superstructure, and if you look closely, lionfish are usually tucked away in crevices. Keep an eye out for resident moray eels peeking from the shadows, too. The wreck itself is broken in places, but still recognisable as a vessel, and it’s a good spot to practise wreck diving skills without significant depth or current concerns.
