INTERBARGE 12 - Fujairah

Interbarge 12 is one of those Fujairah wrecks that just keeps giving, especially given its modest 9-meter depth. We love it for its approachability – perfect for newer wreck divers or anyone looking for a relaxed, long bottom time. You’re essentially diving a sunken barge, and while it's broken up a bit since 1977, the structure still provides plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in. What you'll find here is a genuine artificial reef. The metal hull is thick with soft corals, mostly shades of orange and purple, swaying gently in the mild current. Keep an eye out for schools of snapper weaving through the skeletal remains of the cargo hold. Our favourite part is often just hovering over the deck, watching the resident batfish slowly circle, almost indifferent to divers. It’s a calm site, usually with good visibility, making it easy to appreciate the smaller details that have grown on the wreck over the decades.
