KHORFAKAN - Fujairah

Fujairah's Khorfakkan wreck isn't deep, maxing out around 5 metres, which means it’s a site we find ourselves coming back to often, especially on days where we want a relaxed, long bottom time. This steamship, sunk back in '75 after a storm, stretches out, a real presence at 115 metres long. You can follow the length of the hull, spotting the way the metal has buckled and become home to so much life. We love how the light plays on the structure, filtering through the shallow water. Expect to spend your dive observing moray eels tucked into crevices, schools of snapper flitting above the decks, and the occasional turtle grazing on algae. It’s an easy, rewarding dive for anyone who enjoys exploring a bit of history while still getting great critter encounters. Our favourite detail is imagining the ship in its prime, then seeing how nature has completely reclaimed it.
