MOAJIL-5 - Fujairah
We’ve always had a soft spot for Fujairah wrecks, and Moajil-5 is a proper contender for our favourite shallow dive here. This isn’t some broken-up pile of metal; she’s a huge cargo ship, 152 metres long, sitting upright and mostly intact in just 11 metres of water. We love a wreck where you can really feel the scale of the vessel, and Moajil-5 delivers. The sheer size of the Moajil-5 is what gets you first. You can spend an entire dive exploring just a section of her deck, seeing how the ocean has slowly taken over. Schools of snapper hang motionless in the shadow of the superstructure, and we’ve seen moray eels peeking out from every conceivable crevice. Our top tip is to look for the tiny nudibranchs making their way across the barnacle-covered railings; they’re often overlooked but add a splash of colour. It’s a site that’s perfect for new wreck divers and photographers, offering plenty of ambient light and long bottom times to really soak it all in.
