Ambai - Mar del Plata
The Ambai wreck, sitting at 15 metres off Mar del Plata, offers a stark, somewhat dangerous dive. What remains of the cargo ship is largely broken up, but you can still pick out the hull sections and machinery. It’s been down there long enough for some decent growth, attracting hake, conger eels, and occasional octopuses. This site is best for experienced wreck divers comfortable with limited penetration into unstable structures and who appreciate the raw history of a sunken vessel over pristine reefs.
