C-11 - Mar del Plata

The C-11 wreck, a former dredger vessel, lies capsized in Mar del Plata’s South Dock at a shallow 11 meters. Sunk in 1975, it’s a pretty somber site, a reminder of the five crew members lost that day. What you get now is a relatively intact hull, flipped over and settled on the seabed. We often find its structure covered in small anemones and sponges, with schools of silversides darting in and out of the openings. It’s a site that really suits newer wreck divers or those looking for a relaxed, shallow dive, especially given the typically calm conditions inside the dock. You can spend a good amount of time just circling the exterior, spotting various crabs tucked into crevices.
