CONCEPCION - Mar del Plata

The *Concepcion* wreck sits in some surprisingly shallow water, making it a great option for newer wreck divers or those just looking for a relaxed dive. We’re talking 7 metres, tops. It was an old fishing trawler, sunk deliberately, and you can still see a lot of its structure intact, especially the masts reaching up towards the surface. Diving it, we love dropping down onto the main deck, picking out details like the wheelhouse and parts of the rigging. Over time, the wreck has become a proper artificial reef. You'll often find conger eels peering out from crevices, and the metalwork is thick with mussels and anemones, which always brings in a good scatter of small fish. For us, the highlight is finding the occasional crab scuttling across the deck. It's a genuinely easy dive, no strong currents to worry about, and the visibility here, while not always epic, is usually good enough to appreciate the scale of the wreck. Come for a straightforward, engaging wreck dive where the marine life has really made itself at home.
