CUAL - Mar del Plata
The CUAL wreck off Mar del Plata is a solid dive, particularly if you’re keen on exploring a piece of history turned into an artificial reef. Sitting at 16 meters, it’s accessible to most divers and makes for a relaxed exploration. The merchant vessel itself is quite broken up, but its hull and superstructure still offer plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around. You'll find the metalwork draped in growth, and it’s become a home for various fish species, often with schools of silversides flickering around the darker sections. We've seen some decent-sized conger eels tucked into crevices, too. It’s a great spot for an afternoon dive if you’re in the area and fancy a proper wreck without any serious current challenges.
