H.H.10 - Mar del Plata

Okay, let's talk about the H.H.10. Forget deep dives and pristine coral. This site, just off Mar del Plata, is pure wreck therapy in the shallows. We love it because it’s so accessible, sitting at a maximum depth of three metres. You’re practically snorkelling a piece of history. It’s an old fishing trawler, a proper structure, now completely taken over by the sea. Expect to spend your dive weaving through its ribs and superstructure, feeling the gentle surge, and getting up close with the resident critters. We've seen schools of silversides flickering through the hull, and often, you'll spot crabs scuttling across the metal plates, or a couple of octopus tucked into crevices. The way the light filters through the surface, dappling the rusty metal, is incredibly atmospheric. It’s not about big pelagics here, but the sheer volume of small, intricate life makes it fascinating. Our favourite time to visit is on a calm morning, just after sunrise; the visibility is usually at its best then, and the light is perfect for photography. Perfect for anyone wanting to explore a wreck without needing extensive dive training, or for photographers looking for unique shallow water opportunities.
