Pingo - Mar del Plata

Pingo sits in the shallow waters just off Mar del Plata, a sailing vessel now a permanent fixture at a mere two metres deep. It’s a spot we’d call an easy introduction to wreck diving, particularly for those new to the experience or looking for a relaxed snorkel. The hull is clearly visible from the surface, and the structure itself is home to various local fish, mainly small groups of silversides darting in and out of the crevices. You can spend a good hour just exploring the remains, peering into what’s left of the cabins and the deck. It’s a good little adventure for a calm day, perfect for trying out a new camera or simply enjoying the novelty of a wreck so accessible.
