REALIDAD - Mar del Plata

The *Realidad* offers something genuinely different for a wreck dive, especially for those who appreciate history as much as marine life. At a mere two metres, it’s not about depth, it’s about accessibility and the stories this old yacht holds. We love the way the light filters through the shallow water, illuminating the hull and its resident population of small fish and anemones. You’ll spend most of your time exploring the deck, which is now a bustling mini-reef, watching blennies dart in and out of crevices and checking out the barnacle-encrusted fittings. It’s perfect for a long, relaxed dive, where you can really take your time examining the details without worrying about bottom time. We think it’s our favourite spot in Mar del Plata for introducing new divers to wrecks or for anyone who just wants a peaceful swim with a bit of history thrown in. Look for the small, curious crabs hiding in the shadows of what was once the helm.
