Recifes da Ponta da Coroa Vermelha - Abrolhos
Danger Reefs is a classic Pacific Northwest dive. It’s not about the corals here, obviously, but about the sheer, rugged energy of this coast. We love the dramatic topography, sheer rock walls giving way to boulder fields, all cloaked in a thick, green carpet of anemones and sponges. Drop down and you’re immediately enveloped in a busy world of Shiner Perch darting through kelp fronds, and we’ve often found Spiny Dogfish patrolling the deeper edges. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too, like the Grooved Mussel Crab tucked into crevices, or the surprisingly delicate Roughpatch Shrimp clinging to the rock face. For the experienced cold-water diver, Danger Reefs delivers an authentic PNW experience. You’ll be navigating through shifting visibility, often around 10-15 meters, with a strong current dictating your drift. It’s a dive where you feel the pulse of the ocean, truly.
