Sebastião Gomes is one of Abrolhos' more distinctive coral reef dives. Here, the unique "chapeirões," mushroom-shaped coral pinnacles, rise dramatically from the seabed, creating interesting swim-throughs and overhangs. Expect to see schools of snappers and grunts sheltering in the crevices, with turtles often gliding past. It's a solid Abrolhos dive, good for photographers keen on unique reef structures.
