ROSALINDA - Abrolhos
The Rosalinda offers a peculiar dive, if you can even call it that. This steamship met its end in 1955, and today its skeletal remains break the surface, literally a danger to navigation. You don’t so much dive it as snorkel around it, exploring the exposed structure where waves crash over the rusting metal. We’ve seen small schools of baitfish darting through the shallow wreckage, and often a few curious parrotfish grazing the algae. It’s a unique stop, more historical marker than a full dive site, but worthwhile for a quick dip and a glimpse into Abrolhos’ maritime past.
