Mae Ilha Caves - Arraial do Cabo

Pandora’s Box, tucked away on the northern wall of Alacrity entrance, makes for a nice drift when the current is running out. We’ve found the sweet spot is around 20 metres, where the wall really comes alive with bright purple soft corals and big sea fans. Below that, it’s mostly rubble, but we’ve spent happy minutes spotting tiny things like Adorned Dwarfgobies and the odd Ghost Cardinalfish if you have a keen eye. Look out for the resident Hawksbill Turtles cruising by, and if you’re lucky, a passing Whitetip Reef Shark. It’s a pretty easygoing dive, good for an afternoon potter after something more intense.
