Why dive here
With 44+ marine species recorded in the area - including sea turtles - Servemar I offers some of Fernando de Noronha's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 27-29°C, warmest March, April, May.
The Servemar I wreck is a good bet for a relaxed dive in Fernando de Noronha. This old tugboat sits upright, relatively intact, making it a straightforward exploration. We usually find plenty of grunts and snappers schooling around the superstructure, and look closely for moray eels tucked into crevices. It’s a comfortable dive, and the way the light filters through the clear Noronha water around the wreck makes for some nice photo opportunities, especially on a calm morning.
Safety Notes
Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.
