Barra de Sandy Bay offers a solid reef dive on Malpelo's eastern side. The corals here provide shelter for a good range of reef fish, and we've often spotted white-tip reef sharks cruising the sand patches. It's a calmer dive than some of Malpelo's more exposed sites, making it a good choice for those looking for a relaxed exploration rather than a big animal aggregation.
