Fendleys Reef
Why dive here
With 71+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda and pufferfish - Fendleys Reef offers some of Malpelo Island's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest September, October, November.
Fendleys Reef offers a distinct coral reef structure within Malpelo. While not as famed for the big pelagics as other sites here, it’s a good spot to slow down and appreciate the reef ecosystem itself. Look for smaller critters tucked into the corals. It’s a solid dive for those who enjoy a more intimate reef exploration.
